AVOCADO DAY 2008

On July 10, for the eighth consecutive occasion, CMC organized the famous Avocado Day, a conference held annually in the El Eden tourist center located in the city of Quillota, in the Valparaiso Region of Chile.
This version was attended by 700 people. Among whom there were industry representatives such as farmers, technicians and specialists from all over the country.
The different speakers covered subjects related to economic perspectives of Chile, the world market, analysis of the national season, exports, competition, problems of energy use and the optimization of irrigation, among others.
There were 13 exhibiting companies, showing their cutting edge machinery and tools, and other services.

For lunch, many local dishes were on offer, with an original dessert of avocado-meringue pie. At lunch the participants were given the opportunity to share opinions, after which they participated in the concluding presentations.
